These terms cover your use of the DataTally app and your purchase of a license. By downloading the app or buying a license, you agree to them.

Trial and free use

DataTally is free to download and includes a 14-day trial of all features. After the trial, live speeds and today's total remain free indefinitely; the per-app breakdown and usage history require a license.

Your license

A license is a one-time purchase for one person. It lets you activate DataTally on any Mac you personally own or use. For teams and businesses, buy one license per user.

Your license key is personal: don't publish, share, or resell it. We may revoke a key that has been posted publicly.

Delivery

Your license key is delivered by email immediately after purchase. If it doesn't arrive or you lose it, email support@datatally.app from the address you bought with and we'll resend it.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by our payment provider as merchant of record; your purchase is also subject to their terms. The price is shown before checkout. It may change for future buyers, but never for a license you already own.

If DataTally isn't working out, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you. The free trial exists so you can make sure it fits before paying.

Updates

A license includes all updates to DataTally. We intend to keep improving the app but can't promise specific features, compatibility with future versions of macOS, or that the app will be developed indefinitely. Because activation is offline, your licensed copy keeps working regardless.

No warranty

DataTally is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Usage figures are measurements read from macOS and may differ from what your internet provider bills; don't rely on them as the sole basis for avoiding overage charges.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to DataTally is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version is always at this address with the date above. Changes apply from posting and won't take away a license you've already bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
